The May presentation was well attended and was very interesting. Jordan Smith presented the history of the Wilbur Mine in central Ontatio. In fact we found out that there were a number of mines there along the route of the Pembroke and Kingston railway, a fact unknown to most of us. A summary of the presentation can be reached by clicking the middle link above.
The Dickinson Days weekend featured beautiful weather. People took advantage of that and turned out in droves for the events. The Dickinson House received almost a thousand visitors for a very successful day. Thanks to everyone who came and we hope to see you same time next year.
The June Excursion this year is to Kingston to visit sires focussing on Sir John A. Macdonald, this being the 200th anniversary of his birth. Find the details using the June Excursion above.
